Interstate Specialty Products Inc., based in Sutton, Mass., is now selling custom-fabricated miniature

precision, digital die-cut plastic components. The miniature plastic components are cut using die-less digital equipment to produce parts with ±0.005-inch precision and narrow cross sections (1:1 ratio to part thickness), which can be supplied plain or with adhesive backings. Custom-made from a range of materials, these tiny parts feature intricate shapes with precise details and hole spacing to ±0.003 inch, smooth edges and minimal tooling charges, according to the company. The miniature plastic components include seals, shims, vents, and cushions made from U.S. Food and Drug Administration-approved silicones, engineered plastics, composites, microporous plastics, membranes, foams and felt. Interstate Specialty Products specializes in precision die-cutting and fabrication of plastics, filter media, specialty elastomers and custom gaskets.
